All our technicians are credentialed RVT, CVT, LVT as well as a few VTS who bring on-the-floor training and conference level continuing education directly to your hospital. Not sure what a VTS is? Be sure to read our blog post!
We provide RECOVER certifications to our team members. We are thoroughly trained to lead CPR in the instance an emergency occurs in your hospital.
We are passionate about veterinary medicine and are happy to teach! We will gladly share our skills with team members that are less experienced and want to learn.

All our technicians come from 5 or more years of working clinically in the field. Many of our technicians have chosen relief work as a career and they are available for long term needs.
Our technicians are employees of AVTS, not contractors. They are fully supported and coached by our leadership. Although we are rarely ever working together in the same hospital, we still function as a team. We are techs supporting techs, we all operate under the same core values and mission. We also utilize each other as educational resources and support.

Convenient Flexibility
While we take great pride in our “plug and play” workforce, we also recognize that certain hospitals and Specialty departments heavily rely on their technicians to take on a lot of responsibilities. Our job is to adapt to your hospital protocols. Although all our technicians come with extensive skill sets and experience, we are aware that every hospital has their specific workflows and DVM preferences. Throughout our shifts we cover with you, we continually ask “how do you do it here” to ensure we follow protocol. Ask us about a free in-person consultation or trial shift.
Recruitment Option
You can make an offer for a position to any of our relief techs. There have been several instances with harmony among a team who needs a position filled, and one of our techs being a perfect fit! Sometimes this is a non-committal way to have a trial working period for a position you need filled.
